Sizzling Garlic Butter Surf & Turf Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • ½ lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice), cut into bite-sized strips
  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp garlic butter (or 2 tbsp unsalted butter + 2 cloves minced garlic)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • ½ red bell pepper, sliced
  • ½ yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • ½ green bell pepper, sliced
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Cooked jasmine or basmati rice, for serving

Instructions:

1. Prep Ingredients

  • Rinse and slice all vegetables.
  • Pat the shrimp and steak strips dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  • Lightly season both the steak and shrimp with salt and black pepper.

2. Sear the Steak

  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add 1 tbsp garlic butter and let it melt.
  • Sear the steak strips for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely browned. Remove and set aside.

3. Cook the Shrimp

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp garlic butter.
  • Cook the shrimp for 2 minutes per side, until pink and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.

4. Stir-Fry the Vegetables

  • Add sesame oil to the skillet.
  • Toss in the broccoli and bell peppers, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender and vibrant.

5. Combine & Finish

  • Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet.
  • Drizzle with soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and red pepper flakes.
  • Toss everything together and cook for 1-2 more minutes to let the flavors meld.

6. Serve

  • Plate over steamed jasmine or basmati rice.
