Ingredients:
- ½ lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice), cut into bite-sized strips
- ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp garlic butter (or 2 tbsp unsalted butter + 2 cloves minced garlic)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- ½ red bell pepper, sliced
- ½ yellow bell pepper, sliced
- ½ green bell pepper, sliced
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Cooked jasmine or basmati rice, for serving
Instructions:
1. Prep Ingredients
- Rinse and slice all vegetables.
- Pat the shrimp and steak strips dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- Lightly season both the steak and shrimp with salt and black pepper.
2. Sear the Steak
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add 1 tbsp garlic butter and let it melt.
- Sear the steak strips for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely browned. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Shrimp
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp garlic butter.
- Cook the shrimp for 2 minutes per side, until pink and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
4. Stir-Fry the Vegetables
- Add sesame oil to the skillet.
- Toss in the broccoli and bell peppers, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender and vibrant.
5. Combine & Finish
- Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet.
- Drizzle with soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and red pepper flakes.
- Toss everything together and cook for 1-2 more minutes to let the flavors meld.
6. Serve
- Plate over steamed jasmine or basmati rice.
